You Are God's Masterpiece

You are a Priceless Work of Art to God

A masterpiece is an artist’s greatest work of art. A work of Art. God is the Creator of the world and all that is in it. Once He was finished with His masterpiece, He looked at it stating that it was “very good”.

A is valued by what someone is willing to pay for it. You are God’s work of Art. You are a priceless treasure to Him and valuable. So valuable, that He gave His Son, Jesus, to save you.

When you look in the mirror, remember that fact! God does not lie, does not make mistakes and Has a purpose for your life. You are no mistake. You matter to God. Dear one, you are a priceless work of art and a part of God’s beautiful masterpiece. You were designed by the Creator of the world.

you are a part of God's masterpiece

Matthew 6: 26

Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

The beauty of being an artist is that when we do make mistakes, we can erase, redo, wipe away or start over. Jesus gave His life so that you could look more and more like Him, the image of your Creator. What a beautiful work of Art!

Bible verses about your Spiritual gifts

God has given His people Spiritual gifts that are to be used to spread His love to the world. He did not give everyone the same gifts. What a boring world it would be if we were all the same, right?

Some of these spiritual gifts given to us through His Holy Spirit can also blend with our natural talents and skills learned to display Him through works of heART.

1 Peter 4:10

As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

The word used in this verse for manifold is the original Greek word, Poikilos which means:

*a various colours, variegated, of various sorts

Poikilos is similar in meaning to our English word for polka dots. Everything you touch leaves behind your fingerprints.

When we use our creative abilities for God’s glory, we are leaving behind various polka dotted fingerprints that trace back to the Creator. Read more on this below!

Bible Art lessons God's masterpiece

You are a unique work of art and a part of God's masterpiece

At some point after God created the world and said that it was very good, man began to think that very good wasn’t good enough. We all know what happened when Eve listened to the serpent rather than listening to the Creator.

Even today, we look in the mirror and rather than seeing the amazing creation and work of God, we feel less than, not enough and wanting to be more…..more than very good.

From your fingerprints to your DNA, you are unique. There’s only one you! God has designed you to be fearfully and wonderfully made and given you gifts. Some of that is a natural talent or an inclination to something creative and you have the ability to learn new things.

There are no other creations in nature that can do Art and creativity and also learn new concepts.

You may not have a natural ability to paint, but you can be taught. Sewing may not be easy for you, you might burn things regularly when you bake and you may not have a green thumb when it comes to designing a garden, but even those things can be learned. As part of God’s Masterpiece, be unique and use what He has given you.

But what you do have in your body is the ability to be creative. For some it may flow through their body as if it’s in their blood. While you may feel like you do not have any creativity at all.

You do. You do possess creativity. Finding your creative ability is important because it is discovering that something special that God has given you as a gift from the Creator. It “draws” you closer to Him when you spend time exploring your creativity with Him.

God has given those who follow Him spiritual gifts. Many of those gifts tap into a creative ability that can be display to others.

colorful fingerprints

Everything you touch leaves behind your fingerprints. When a criminal commits a crime, he is identified by his fingerprints. We use fingerprints to identify a person because no two fingerprints are the same.

Your Art is like your fingerprints. No two will be the same. When you use your abilities for God’s glory, you leave behind not only your fingerprints, but His.
