Years ago when we first began creating art for kids, it was to find creative ways to help children learn to draw and paint as they also draw closer to the Lord. Combining Bible and Art is so important to us because creativity comes from God. Helping kids learn to draw and paint uses their God given creativity to create art, glorifies God when they make beautiful art pointing back to Him and provides visual reminders of Jesus.
Easter is one of those moments we can make beautiful art that reminds the world of what Jesus did on the cross. The Gospel, the Good News, can be told through Art as it has been for hundreds of years.
Easter art for kids can be as simple as drawing a cross, a heart with a cross signifying God’s love or more elaborate cross and sunrise landscapes inspired by Easter morning.
The cross is where Jesus took on our sins and died so that we can live with Him.
But it is the empty tomb that we celebrate because He rose from the grave.
