Love Bible Verse Printables for Kids

As parents and educators, one of our greatest desires is to teach children about God’s love and inspire them to extend that love to others. The Bible is rich with verses that beautifully illustrate the depth and breadth of God’s love for us and His call for us to love one another.

We’ve designed a  collection of Bible verse printables to teach children about God’s love and encourage them to reflect that love in their interactions with others. Coloring and journaling are tools we use to engage children in the Wrod of God. Some of our favorite verses are:

• John 3:16 – The Ultimate Expression of Love: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” 

Encourage children to memorize this verse and reflect on the profound sacrifice God made out of love for us.

• 1 John 4:7 – Loving One Another: “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.” 

This verse emphasizes the source of true love and encourages us to extend that love to those around us.

• Matthew 22:37-39 – The Greatest Commandments: “And he said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'” 

Encourage children to reflect on what it means to prioritize love in their lives.

• 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 – The Characteristics of Love: “Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” 

Encourage children to reflect on these qualities and strive to embody them in their interactions with others.
